Cancellation Fee– We kindly request that we are given a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancelling or rescheduling of a full or partial job that has been scheduled in advance. If a crew has been dispatched to the job site, the authorizing party may be assessed a mobilization fee of $50 for incurred expenses.
Call Aheads– If requested by client, we will notify the client via email, call, and/or text at least 24 hours prior to a service being performed. If a notification has been sent and we are unable to perform the service due to but not limited to a gate being locked, dog out, etc, the account holder may be assessed a fee of $40 on the second occurrence.
Landscape Work– Leapfrog Landcare will not be held responsible for damage to any underground utilities including but not limited to, phone, cable, irrigation, etc. If digging is required, we will call 811 before the service is performed and we will use precautions to make sure we do not hit anything marked. The client is responsible for marking any irrigation heads and/or irrigation piping, as well as any other underground utilities that 811 does not mark. (If anything concealed and not properly marked is damaged, Leapfrog Landcare will repair, if able, at an hourly rate, plus material cost.)
The date scheduled to perform services may be rescheduled due to but not limited to, weather, equipment, product availability, etc. Leapfrog Landcare will contact the client immediately if the service needs to be rescheduled and will reschedule accordingly.
For landscape jobs that are over $1,000 (sod, planting, or otherwise noted), will require a 50% deposit due prior to scheduling. This amount will be invoiced after estimate is accepted. Once the landscape work is completed, the deposit amount will be applied to the balance and the remaining amount will be invoiced to the client.
Leapfrog Landcare will invoice client via email, once services are completed, unless otherwise noted. Payment is due within 15 days upon invoice being sent. Past Due invoices will accrue an interest rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) with a minimum of $5. If balance becomes past due, account will be paused and no other services will be performed.
Planting– Leapfrog Landcare offers a 3 month warranty, unless otherwise noted. A one year warranty is offered if client is signed up for the 4 Step Tree & Shrub Care program, otherwise noted. Warranty is only valid if proper care instructions provided to client are followed. Leapfrog Landcare does not offer a warranty on transplanted plants, seasonal annuals, and/or perennials. Plants are not covered under warranty if damage is caused by frost, freezing, animals (such as; deer, rabbits, dogs, cats, etc), lack of water, plants that are surrounded by rock without a mulch barrier, and but not limited to hail or drought. Client understands that they are responsible for notifying Leapfrog Landcare if a plant that was installed by the company is struggling. Leapfrog Landcare will then inspect the plant and take measures to save the plant or replace.
Plant pricing is based on current nursery inventory and pricing at the time of the estimate. Plant availability is subject to change between the time of estimate and scheduling the work. This is a rare occurrence, however, if it does happen we do have to adjust our pricing, plant size and/or actual plants to reflect the nursery inventory. We will always keep you updated and informed with any changes. We only work with quality nurseries who also supply to a lot of the garden centers in the area. So, if they have a large order come in to restock a garden center their inventory can change quickly.

Leapfrog Landcare does no warranty any additional seed or compost needed due to but not limited to: damage caused by animals, acts of nature, and/or lack of water. Additional seed and compost are available if necessary at an additional cost.

If the account is past due and paused a second time, a card on file will be required to restart account. Past Due invoices will accrue an interest rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum), with a $5 minimum. If the account has been paused and it takes a longer length of time to mow the grass, Leapfrog Landcare will/may charge more for the time spent servicing the property.
Lawn Treatments– We do not and cannot guarantee a weed free lawn. When dealing with nature, it does take time and patience to lessen weeds throughout the lawn. It does take time to get weeds under control and multiple treatments. Weeds are hardy little pests and their seeds can stay in the soil for up to 10 years, even with lawn treatments. According to NC State, one crabgrass plant puts out about 25,000 seeds in one season. If you are wanting instant results, we or any other treatment company, may not be the right fit for you.
